Caller ID was "FINANCIAL CTR". Message left was about: "reducing credit card interest rates to as little as 6% if I owe at least $3000 and one card is in good standing."
I tried pleading, I tried loud whistles, I tried letting the answering machine pick up. Nothing seemed to work Here is my latest attempt. I have saved the following numbers (360-529-6177, 971-220-1032, 480-982-3626) on my cell phone under the contact "BS" (for obvious reasons) with a specific ring tone. When I get a call from one of these numbers, I answer and KEEP QUIET. Hopefully, their system will interpret this as a non-working number and remove it automatically. I have received significantly fewer calls
Called this morning - no message - the credit card scammers noted by others have been harassing me for over a year, from a variety of phone numbers. I complain to the Fed Do-Not-Call list, and no action. What good is it?
