My caller said he was from "WINDOWS Support" not Microsoft. There is a difference. Microsoft is trademarked, copyrighted etc. windows is not and can't be. Anyone can say they work for windows, Microsoft is a different story.
He got all huffy when I called hin a "pakistani scammer". In retrospect his English was so good he is probably Filippino.
Heavy accented caller said he was from Microsoft. I interrupted him there and told him I knew this was a scam and he should never call this number again. He hung up as I was talking.

these [***] hats have been calling my elderly friend for weeks, claiming to be "Technical Support" "from Windows". Told them not to call back ever again. We'll see.
I usually don't answer calls from unknown numbers, but I did this morning. The caller had a heavy Indian accent, and said, "I'm calling about your computer." I answered, "No! I don't believe you!" Then I immediately hung up. I knew it was a scam. Our daughter-in-law had received a similar call before, and was told their computer was "leaking information", or something like that, etc.. So I knew how the story could go.
