My caller said he was from "WINDOWS Support" not Microsoft. There is a difference. Microsoft is trademarked, copyrighted etc. windows is not and can't be. Anyone can say they work for windows, Microsoft is a different story.
He got all huffy when I called hin a "pakistani scammer". In retrospect his English was so good he is probably Filippino.
Got a call from this number, I didn't answer and when I called it back anonymously I got the message "We're sorry your call cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number and dial again." The scammer uses "Microsoft Windows" as their cover story to get personal information, credit card information, etc.
I've been getting this call early for the past two days. Today I immediately asked him to please take me off his calling list. In his East Indian accent, he told me "You'll get this call everyday!" So I told him to kiss my [***] and hung up. I can't wait until tomorrow. lol
Same here, caller had heavy accent claiming to represent Microsoft windows. No doubt they are scammers, Microsoft only calls if you initiated a call to them. After that MS will send an email with a case number for any repair work.
