On July 26, 2012, I got a call from this number. It registered on my caller ID as "Financial Ctr." I did not answer the phone. On today's date, August 15, 2012, I received another call from "Financial Ctr." except this time the number was 503-457-1407. I answered this call. The recording said that this is my final courtesy call to lower my credit card rate to 6%; all I need is $3,000 in credit card debt and one card in good standing. It also said they have tried to contact me several times and that this is my final call for my yearly credit card review.
The automated recording did not give a key to press to be removed from their list; It said "Press 1 if you are interested in lowering your credit card debt..." So I pressed 1 and got a woman who said "So i understand you are interested in lowering your credit card payments?" I said, "No, but I understand I want to be removed from your call list." Before I could finish my sentence, she hung up on me!
If you get a call from "Financial Ctr" on your caller ID, DO NOT ANSWER!
I have done this several times already and every time they hang up on me. How am I to get off this list!???
Flipping scumbags keep calling in the morning on the weekend. Got a call today before 9am on a Saturday. Fortunately we've turned the ringer off on our phones in the bedroom and any phone we can hear from there, so we were blissfully unaware until I checked the caller ID log and my voicemail this morning. Piece of trash left their standard voicemail about lowering your interest rates if you have credit card debt. Funny thing since I don't owe any credit card company anything, much less do I need to lower my rates. Idiots are just cold calling and trying to scam people, I can't believe anyone falls for this nonsense. Reported.
I just got a call from this Financial Center so I Googled the number and found this post. I had to right this down so I can start using it. Hope I can say it without cracking up. Anyway, whatever works to get these people to stop calling I will try. Thanks.
