Left message claiming "second enforcement action" blah blah blah. CID comes up as Battle Ground, WA. Courts do not operate by calling people to appear from a garbled spoofed phone number. You must be properly served in writing, and communications will be in writing and there should be a valid phone number for a court of jurisdiction. In short, ignore these morons and block them.
Got a call from this number. Have gotten several calls like this over the past few days. Starting to think I might have actually done something wrong, haha!
I got a call from 360 667 5950 on my voice mail. The caller identified himself as Steve Underhood and then it gets muffled. He said something about "an enforcement action and ignoring this message will be an intended act to avoid appearing before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense". He repeated the number at the end and advised me to call and cooperate and they would help me. It is very upsetting to come in from a long day at work and hear a message like this. From what I have researched online, these are bogus/scams. I think I am going to call my cable/phone company and report it and maybe get a new phone number. I am also going to do research and report it elsewhere other than this site. If any one has other comments/tips/advice I would greatly appreciate it. I get these calls a lot. I know about the IRS/Department of Treasury scam but I could not hear the name of the company this person claimed he was from because the voice mail was muffled. Thank you for reading this!!!
