It is Bank of America. The voicemail I received said my account had been compromised and to call the number on the back of my card. They did not leave a number to call. I did and was told yes, it was true. My account had been compromised and they had already mailed a new card to me.
I received a voice mail from this number stating they were BoA and a recent change was made to my account. I came here, read the comments and did not trust that number so I called the main BoA number. BoA confirmed that since I recently changed my address with the postal service that a change of address was automatically sent to BoA and they updated my account. It appears that the number is legit but I recommend just calling the regular BoA number to find out what is going on, not this number, just to be safe.
I just got a replacement card as someone had hacked BofA's credit card list and had to replace hundreds of thousands of cards from California this week due to the security breach. The breach allowed for certain information from your account to be viewable.
If you call this number back, they will confirm with you a few things about your account. If you give them more info or confirm anything they say, you are a complete moron. CALL YOUR BANK and ask if for any reason anyone called you about your account. THIS IS FRAUD, DO NOT CALL THEM BACK. CALL YOUR BANK AND REPORT IT.
Ditto on all below.....this is phishing or scamming. Call Bank of America, their listed numbers on their official website if you are concerned. DO not call back the number on the message!!!!!!!!!
