It is Bank of America. The voicemail I received said my account had been compromised and to call the number on the back of my card. They did not leave a number to call. I did and was told yes, it was true. My account had been compromised and they had already mailed a new card to me.
I also received a phone call from this number this afternoon. Luckily I never answer calls from area codes that I do not know. When I got back to my office I used my office phone to call the number. At first it sounded like someone else picked up the phone and started dialing numbers. Then it went silent and then sounded like someone hung up on me. I did not wait any longer and hung up.
I just received a message from this number stating: This is BOA claims operations, your claim is resolved and paid in full, you will be receiving corospondance from us. I have no accounts or claims with BOA, so this is def fraud!!! I called back and got beeps and no answer.
I just got this number, I didn't answer it and the voice mail was silent for a long time then it was them talking about my BoA account details being changed. Sounds like a scam to me.
I called BOA yesterday to report that I was leaving the united states for one month, and I recieved a call from this number,i didnt pick up but thet left me a message confirming that they are aware about my trip n left an international number just in case if my debit card gets lost or stolen, so I dont see anything wrong from this call. Should I be concern?
