It is Bank of America. The voicemail I received said my account had been compromised and to call the number on the back of my card. They did not leave a number to call. I did and was told yes, it was true. My account had been compromised and they had already mailed a new card to me.
415-229-2984 called me on two of my cell phones. They wanted me to call back and I didn't. I just listen to their voice message. I am going to say this to those who commit these type of frauds. I am not like the others I will break my [***] putting you with handcuffs. I will travel to whatever state you are calling from and I will be a solid witness for the Fed. So don't call me again.
THis is NOT a bank of America phone number, Its a Phishing scam, do not give information, and if you have call your bank and let them know.. THIS IS APHOSHING SACM.. and if you do get any contact info, please let me know.. I can address it then.
Took a call on my cell at 12:07 pm 7/5/12 from 415-229-2984. I missed beginning of the recorded message but I did hear the female voice say that if I didn't make a change to my account to let them know. I called the number and got just beeps. I put the number in a search engine and got this page, which I appreciate.
Just received a call (7/5/12 12:08pm EST) from 415-229-2984. I didnt answer the call, however, the number left a voicemail. The voicemail sounds like someone hanging up a phone. I didnt call the number back, instead, I googled it. That's how I found this forum. I called Bank of America to report the issue and inquire about changes made on my account. They stated no changes had been made and the call was INDEED FRAUDULENT. They advised me NOT to call the number back and the issue would be escalated to higher management. Bank of America is on the hunt for these people and I am sure they will be locked up in no time.
