I received a call from this number. It was a genuine call from Charter (now Spectrum) from a automated system to confirm an appointment for a service technician to visit my home. It is not a scam.
This number does indeed belong to Charter. I received a call from this number in regard to an appointment I had made to have my internet set up at my apartment. It is an automated system, and you must call back to confirm the appointment. It just asks to you to either confirm, or change the appointment if you need to, and to make sure that someone over the age of 18 is there with a valid photo ID when the technician arrives. They will also call again when the technician is en route the day of the appointment.
Me too - got the "missed call" - I never answer unknown numbers - why don't they identify themselves as Charter - I have a service all in myself to Charter
So many of you in the replies about think that the Charter call is because we've made arrangements to have a repair service visit from Charter. NOT SO, in fact, I get these calls and Charter doesn't even serve this remote area in Wisconsin. They obviously have the wrong number but keep calling anyway. I can't figure out how to get my number off their list. Any suggestions or a number to call which might have a real person to talk with about this problem?
