I received a call from this number. It was a genuine call from Charter (now Spectrum) from a automated system to confirm an appointment for a service technician to visit my home. It is not a scam.
NOOO Sorry new update. I had a tech come swap my cable boxes today. they called a little less than an hour to the beginning of my technicians arrival possibility to confirm I was and would be there with ID. (ID meaning that ur not a child playing off as an adult or not who you are claiming to be. I did not even need ID he never asked but I had it on me. I forgot about this and traced this number and then saw this and remembered. Seriously chill. If you did not get any appointment made for the day of that call, then someone somewhere somehow accidentally gave them your number (typos and other possible errors). The guy showed up I got my new cable boxes.
My call from this number was Charter Communications confirming an appointment I had recently made. Regarding ID, valid proof of authority to receive/change services is required by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission).
The reason that you cannot find this number for Charter is because it IS AUTOMATED. Automated numbers are not listed numbers. This is a real call. I am a Charter customer & am moving. I just received this confirmation call for my appointment. I also received the same confirmation call when we had some wiring issues & required service. They want you to show ID because they cannot legally enter your residence or do anything without consent from someone over the age of 18.
Charter - Just calling to confirm a service appointment the night BEFORE the service appointment is scheduled. The same number called me in the morning to let me know that the technician was en route and that the service would proceed as scheduled.
