I had the same issue with Michael Montero very abusive and nasty. We agreed to settle a balance for August 22,2009 and I get a letter stateing that they will withdraw moies from my account on 7/22/09. This idiot straight out told me that oh! well this is the date so I told him that I will be canceling my checking acct. I was in good faith to pay my debt in august but then I get this wicked letter. Some thing has to me done with this guy Michael Montero. I bet this is not even his real name.
we had a brand new number and got a call from these guys. didn't leave a message so I called them back and told them, and the person they were trying to reach was not us and they took our number off thier list...now we just need to wait to see if they actually do it...
Got the original call from CCS from 636-200-0119 last week but they left no message. Now got the same id (CCS) tonight from a different number 636-634-2864 & was left a message about a "time sensitive" issue. Tried to do a reverse lookup search online only to find no info on the caller ID numbers or the 866-580-1239 number they left to call back on. Now I've just gotten a 2nd call from 636-634-2864 but no message again. After reading the posts, I've decided not to answer any calls from them and will possibly report this to the Federal Trade Commission since I've been registered on the Do Not Call list for nearly a year.
They are a collection agency, and according to the law, they can call everyday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. whether you like it or not. They put us on an automatic caller. The only way to stop these calls are to write them a cease and desist letter. They WILL stop. You can also file a law suit for Fair Debt Practices, but that will cost you more than you want to pay. Write the letters.
