I had the same issue with Michael Montero very abusive and nasty. We agreed to settle a balance for August 22,2009 and I get a letter stateing that they will withdraw moies from my account on 7/22/09. This idiot straight out told me that oh! well this is the date so I told him that I will be canceling my checking acct. I was in good faith to pay my debt in august but then I get this wicked letter. Some thing has to me done with this guy Michael Montero. I bet this is not even his real name.

I, too, have begun receiving calls from 636-200-0119, to my cell phone. The calls started a few weeks ago and occur any where from 0 to 4 times a day, any day of the week.
Sometimes I get a person asking to speak to "Leon". Sometimes I get a machine asking me to "stay on line for an important message". Sometimes I just don't accept the call.
The three times I've spoken to them, I've gotten male callers who didn't clearly identify themselves and didn't identify their company at all. In every case, they've asked to speak to "Leon" (or something like that, it's been hard to understand them).
I've explained, every time, that the phone belongs to myself (..gave em my full name..) and that I've owned the phone/number for some 10+ years. Ie, "Leon" has not owned this number in at least 10 years, if he owned it ever, period. Likewise, I've explained that I have no clue who Leon is, nor do I know anyone named Leon.
On all 3 occasions, they've told me: "Ok, we'll remove your number"
...but I still get calls from them.
A SO CALLED BRIAN EVANS CALLED AND ASKED FOR A PERSON WHO DOES NOT WORK HERE. WHEN I REPLIED THERE IS NOT SUCH PERSON HERE, HE CALLED ME A LIAR. HE SAID THAT THIS SCOTT PERSON HE WAS LOOKING FOR WAS MY BOSS AND I WOULD BE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE IF I DID'NT GET HIM ON THE PHONE. I AGAIN TRIED TO TELL HIM, NO SCOTT HERE HE INSISTED ON CALLING ME ALIAR SAYING SCOOT OWNS THE BUSINESS AND HE'S MY BOSS. WHEN IN REALITY I OWN THE BUSINESS BUT HE IS TELLING ME SOMEONE ELSE DOS. JUST A LITTLE FRUSTRATING.
I have just start service with Verizon - my very first day and get call from this number.
How, where they can have my number?
Is Verizon responsible for this?
