I had the same issue with Michael Montero very abusive and nasty. We agreed to settle a balance for August 22,2009 and I get a letter stateing that they will withdraw moies from my account on 7/22/09. This idiot straight out told me that oh! well this is the date so I told him that I will be canceling my checking acct. I was in good faith to pay my debt in august but then I get this wicked letter. Some thing has to me done with this guy Michael Montero. I bet this is not even his real name.
I got many calls from this number and many others for different people.
I reported them to bbb.org. I got from bbb.org the advice to report for my region to this site: http://www.ftc.gov/ro/northeast.shtm
Please report any number as this is abuse according to federal law and they will need to take action.
i received a phone call from "Faye" saying i owed a balance of $4000.00 on a credit card that has been cancelled for 10 years at least. she was very aggressive and asked for my middle initial to make sure i was the right person after i told her she had the wrong person. then she wanted my last four digits of my ss#, of which i told her she would not get and then i hung up. i am going to check my credit report, i would advise others to do the same.
