Claimed to be a national Women's Business Networking organization, based in New York City. They had an ad on LinkedIn stating it was a free group. Pretended to interview me for this "prestigious" organization, then promptly wanted $500 - $750 for different membership levels. When I declined and said that the ad had said that they were a free organization and asked if that wasn't the case, the telemarketer lectured me on how it's an honor to be included in this group and it was unprofessional to ask her about cost. Very rude. I was transferred between two people - Stacy and Kelly.
Company keeps calling and somehow the calls keep getting through even though I blocked the number. Called the number and was told it was an international organization that I signed yup for through Linked In??? I asked three name if the organization and was told that it would be provided after I provide additional information, then I was placed on hold. I hung up. Very suspicious. Knowing what Iknow now, I wouldn't call or answer calls from this number if it showed up on my caller ID again.
