Claimed to be a national Women's Business Networking organization, based in New York City. They had an ad on LinkedIn stating it was a free group. Pretended to interview me for this "prestigious" organization, then promptly wanted $500 - $750 for different membership levels. When I declined and said that the ad had said that they were a free organization and asked if that wasn't the case, the telemarketer lectured me on how it's an honor to be included in this group and it was unprofessional to ask her about cost. Very rude. I was transferred between two people - Stacy and Kelly.
Received a phone call today, 646-866-6779, the girls name is Cindy claiming she is from ISBL, I called the number and another girl answered, she transferred me to ext 289. Sounds very shady to me. This call will be blocked.
I have been getting calls from this number for two days. I was able to block but it still shows up on my recent call list. I did try calling back once and they answer hello. Glad to know others are having the same issues with this number. I'm now getting other ones from 929 area code in NY.
I live in Paris, France, and do not understand why this number is calling me ... as I never call the United States with my cellphone! As other users, I tried to call back and was told it was an application related to LinkedIn.
