Claimed to be a national Women's Business Networking organization, based in New York City. They had an ad on LinkedIn stating it was a free group. Pretended to interview me for this "prestigious" organization, then promptly wanted $500 - $750 for different membership levels. When I declined and said that the ad had said that they were a free organization and asked if that wasn't the case, the telemarketer lectured me on how it's an honor to be included in this group and it was unprofessional to ask her about cost. Very rude. I was transferred between two people - Stacy and Kelly.
This company sold me a membership to a network that doesn't exist and has taken 10 times more from my bank account than the membership they had annouced! They are a fraud.
A lady, Tanisha Monroe, saying she is from The International Socity Business Leaders to complete my application, initiated a few days ago through LinkedIn. She knew a few things about my proffesional life, asked a few more and then wanted my credit card number to charge me the registration fee for either 5 years USD$789 or lifetime USD$989. I found this number reported as a scam
This is World Wide Network of Notable alumni. After many calls, I picked up the phone. They ask you detailed questions as if vetting you for membership. Next they want you to "purchase" their membership with a Visa or American Express card "before" you get off the call. First they tell you there is only 5 year or lifetime membership @ 798 and 998 dollars respectively. When you tell them you want to check their members list before making a decision - they tell you there is no email to write back to - you must pay before getting off the phone. So they offer you a 1 year membership @ 298 Dollars. The thing is they want you to pay before you get off the call.
