Claimed to be a national Women's Business Networking organization, based in New York City. They had an ad on LinkedIn stating it was a free group. Pretended to interview me for this "prestigious" organization, then promptly wanted $500 - $750 for different membership levels. When I declined and said that the ad had said that they were a free organization and asked if that wasn't the case, the telemarketer lectured me on how it's an honor to be included in this group and it was unprofessional to ask her about cost. Very rude. I was transferred between two people - Stacy and Kelly.
The phone number belongs to a company working with Linkden. She said I may have submitted an application to be featured. Sounds like money to me. I said no thanks and hung up.
Freequent calls from this number; I live in Oslo, Norway. They keep on calling and the words NEW YORK appear on my screen every time. I answered only once, only to hear a really distant voice of a woman saying my name twice and then the person hung up on me. I did not call back. I've received phonecalls from early morning to late at night, at every possible hour. Called me last night just before midnight CET (Central Europian Time) - I left the call unnoticed (didn't pick up the phone.) Getting really annoyed.
