just received the identical call. Told caller I have many grandsons and tell me your first name. Caller hung up. Got to find a way of getting rid of these kinds of calls. Number is now blocked on my phone
I said Hello, first there was a pause then I heard the rattling around on the other end. I said Hello again, he said "Hi Grandma?", I asked who he was calling, he said "His Grandma", I hung up. I'm so annoyed with these idiotic calls, who do they think is going to send them money?
An attempted call was made to our landline In WA state on 12/21 at 8:16 AM PST from this number. If the perpetrators are the same as others have reported previously, then it would have been a hoot to have answered the call, given that there are no grandchildren that neither I, nor anyone else residing in the residence associated with the phone number, could lay claim to - either biologically or legally. Even our answering machine apparently missed out on this call; apparently the perps must have felt it wasn't worth leaving a message, even for something so ALLEGEDLY dire.
I just received a call from 646-911-0208. When I answered the caller said grandpa, I asked who was calling, caller said it was my grandson. Had these calls before so just hung up. My grandson would have given me his name.
Called me today with I am in NY for my friends funeral who just died. I was in an accident and now in jail. This is my only call. I have a case number and lawyer. Black person on phone but voice copy was pretty familiar. Story was dumb / ignorant but clever. Stitches / jaw broken need money quick. Bad bad joke towards elderly ! Beware
