Left message claiming "second enforcement action" blah blah blah. CID comes up as Battle Ground, WA. Courts do not operate by calling people to appear from a garbled spoofed phone number. You must be properly served in writing, and communications will be in writing and there should be a valid phone number for a court of jurisdiction. In short, ignore these morons and block them.
Wow. Exactly the same as tiredoftheliers -- the garbled bit sounded like a VOIP call where packets dropped.
And no judicial action happens over the phone. They use registered mail.
got the same msg from Steve Underwood on home landline. Decided to have some fun and called him back from my office (I am a lawyer). Told him that I was returning his call that he had made to a client, and I would be happy to accept service of whatever writ had been issued. He said it was past that point and already in default and a warrant had been issued, but that he could help out. (was there something he didn't understand when I told him I was a lawyer - he thinks that is how things work?) So, I then asked him which magistrate the warrant was from ? He mumbled a bit. I said, you know I know a number of them and which ones accept bribes and which ones don't. He hung up.
