They asked for the one of my Software guys, he doesn't do IT - She asked to speak to the IT Manager. I told her I needed to more information before I could put her call through or take a message. She totally was unprepared and obviously under trained to respond. She asked to be transferred - when I said I needed a call back number in order to refer her to anyone in our company, she told me it was her company's policy not to give out their phone number. Red Flag I was looking for. After denying that she hung up. The poor girl was so badly trained I now feel a tiny remorse for being tough on her by putting her on the spot, but that's what I do.
4153665807 - This number called twice within and hour and half of each call. One message was picked up on my voicemail for about 45 seconds with a lot of static and background noise of people talking and what sounded like either music bass or hammering in the background. Very scammy with trouble written all over it. Came up on call ID as "from California".
The person with a very heavy accent called and wanted to email information. I asked if she was trying to sell something, and she said no. She wouldn't stop talking, so I just hung up on her.
Called today around 2 PM EST. Caller on the other end was very hard to understand. Of what I could make out he was trying to verify an old email address in addition to any new email address and contact information I was willing to give him.
Asked kindly several times what organization he represented which was defended with him saying this company has great information they want to send me.
I kept asking how they have my information and that I have never worked with their organization previously.
Female with a slight accent called asking for a person by name in our IT Department. I informed her that we have no one here by that name. I figured they were just phishing for a contact name. Asked then if I could just forward their call to someone in IT. I wouldn't do that and you could hear a long sigh on her end. I started to LOL.
